Shelters In Crisis!!
Shelters across the country are in crisis right now, overloaded with unwanted rabbits who are in danger of being euthanized. Blame it on Easter "impulse purchases" or simply the amazing reproductive capabilities of rabbits, but once again this year, If you can find room in your home, please consider helping your local shelter or rescue by adopting or fostering a bunny in need - you'll be saving a life. Literally.

Easter And Bunnies Don't Mix

Please Don't Give Pets As Gifts!!
Shelters and rescues are inundated with animals that were given as gifts to people who didn't really want them and don't know how to take care of them. They expect this year to be no different, beginning on the day after Christmas. Please don't give a live animal as a gift - give a stuffed plush toy instead, or consider making a donation to a rescue or shelter in someone's name as a gift. Just please don't give a live animal as a gift - it requires a lifelong commitment to the pet, and too often they get shortchanged. Thanks!!

Well true love could not be denied. Maple and Finn are now a bonded pair. Having Finn around has helped Maple be a bit less shy, and the snuggle sessions they have are just adorable. This pair would bring joy to any home!!

These are the individual profiles for both Maple and Finn:

Maple - A beautiful female Mini Lop, white with brown spots, approx 2-4 yrs old and 6-7lbs.

Maple was found as a stray when she ran up to a person as they were leaving for work in the morning. Knowing the bun needed help, the kind person contacted 3 Bunnies.

Maple was nervous and yellow with urine stains ( but that quickly cleaned up) and she took right to using the litterbox. She is timid about being pet, but with time and patience, this should pass. Maple is gentle and enjoys stretching out to her full body length. She will toss and roll her ball around, and enjoys playing in her haybox. Maple appears to like other rabbits and may be a good bonding candidate.

A quiet adult home would probably be best, and Maple might be fine with a gentle cat or dog companion. Please consider giving this girl a second chance at a forever home

Finn - This white and brown/black spotted English Spot mix, 6-8months old, and approx 5+ lbs, was found abandoned in a box along with his many siblings. Some were taken in by a CT shelter, and the others by a person who works with the shelter.

Very scared and shy at first, Finn has quickly started to relax and seek out attention. He enjoys head and body rubs, and likes to explore.

Hi! I had a bit of a rough start in life, but now I'm happy playing and eating. I like other buns, and have had my eye on the beautiful Maple. I'm slowly getting use to dogs (although they still make me a bit nervous), and I'm sure nice cats would be fine. I sure am a great bun!

Note: If you would like to see more of Finn's siblings for adoption, check out House Rabbit Network rescue.
