Are you that special kind of person who can foster bunnies and help
them to recover from the trauma and turmoil of their former lives?
3 Bunnies is a network of foster homes, and the more foster homes we
have, the more bunnies we can save. Many times when we rescue bunnies,
we need to help them heal and learn to trust humans again, so they
spend time in foster care. Foster parents then spend time with them,
socializing them and gaining their trust so that they can once again
enjoy the companionship of humans.

When you foster, we provide you with all of the supplies you need to
feed, house and care for the bunnies. We will also cover any medical
expenses. The only thing you need to give of yourself is your time and
love and patience, and the reward you will receive is the love and
appreciation from a bunny that came from a very rough background.
Fostering is not for everyone. It can be difficult and sometimes
heart-breaking, but if you love bunnies and want to help those in
need, it's one of the best ways to go - there is always a need for
good foster homes for homeless buns.
If you are interested in fostering some bunnies, please
contact us to discuss the
possibility.
Thank You!!!
One of our fosterers offers this email to show his experience with
fostering:
Y'know, it's always touching to see people come together and one
person to extend a bit of their home in order to save a bunny with a
sad story. But, I've been thinking... there are rescues EVERYWHERE
who are turning away bunnies with sad stories all the time because of
limited space. Imagine if we could get people to open their homes to
one or two foster bunnies right now, so that rescues and shelters
everywhere could save more lives? You can't possibly imagine some of
the heartbreaking calls rescuers get, and they have to say no because
there's just no more room at the inn.
I gave my dining room to my fosters - all it took was a single x-pen
and some simple supplies which 3bunnies gave me, I added some hidey
boxes and a couple of other things, and you can see it here:
Is it the heartbreaking story we need about a bunny to get people to
step up and foster? If so, hey, people like Mona and Pam and Alex and
countless others can give you ones that would tear your heart up. And
they could save these buns, if only someone woukd step up and either
adopt OR FOSTER for their rescue so they can make the room to take
another bunny in. Everyone has their limits as to how many bunnies
they can have, either as pets or fosters or rescues, but I KNOW there
are people out there who could easily foster a bonded pair with as
little effort as I do, and then TWO MORE bunnies in desperate need
could be rescued from the "shark infested waters".
Shelters and rescues are overwhelmed everywhere with rabbits, because
of so many things. But to anyone who loves bunnies and can offer up a
few square feet to foster or adopt yet another, please please please
consider helping now. We'll give you a heartbreaking story, if that's
what you need to do it - there's no shortage of them - but if you
foster, you help the rescue save another life and give the entire
community a chance to get another rabbit adopted?
So how about it folks? Why can't we find someone to step up and say
"I'll foster that one, thank you" to some of the needy buns listed on
the rescues. Trust me, you'd rather read their stories than the ones
we have to turn away because so few people foster.
